Micronic receives order for a Prexision-8 laser pattern generator for up to
generation 8 display photomasks

Täby, Sweden - April 14, 2009 - Micronic Laser Systems AB (OMX Nordic Exchange
Stockholm, Nordic list, Small Cap, Information Technology: MICR), today received
an order for a Prexision-8 laser pattern generator from a captive mask shop in
Asia. The tool will be shipped in the second quarter of 2009.

”We are now seeing signs of increased capacity utilization within some areas of
the display market. Some of the production capacity - that was built up during
last year - is now utilized indicating an increased demand for advanced
photomasks. This is very encouraging and in line with our earlier communication
where we stated that investments might come early in the upturn,” said Sven
Löfquist, president and CEO of Micronic Laser Systems AB. “This order shows that
we have products meeting our customers' requirements of cost-effective photomask
production for future display manufacturing.”
