REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 15, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BroadVision OnDemand Co. Ltd., a company set up by BroadVision (Nasdaq:BVSN) to focus exclusively on providing relevant, flexible, and affordable Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) e-business solutions, today announced that Patrick D. McCarthy has joined the company as Vice President and General Manager for Americas.

In his new role at BroadVision OnDemand, Mr. McCarthy holds overall responsibility for marketing, sales, and business development for all its products in the Americas region, including Clearvale, an enterprise social network, and CLEAR, a workforce relationship management solution. Mr. McCarthy is a seasoned veteran with more than two decades of sales experience in the technology industry. Previously, he was with SAP America, Inc., where he set the vision and strategy for Business ByDesign, SAP's first SaaS offering. He was also Senior Vice President of worldwide sales for Selectica and held senior management roles with Novell and Autodesk. Mr. McCarthy initially joined BroadVision in 1998 and served four tremendously successful years running the Central United States sales organization. He holds a B.S. degree in computer science from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
