On 21 April 2009 Hypo Real Estate Holding AG, Unsoeldstrasse 2, 80538
Munich, was notified of the following:

'In the name and on behalf of  HRE Investment Holdings II 1 S.à.r.l.,
L-2346 Luxemburg, Luxemburg we hereby notify you according to section 21
para 1 WpHG that on 31 March 2009 the voting rights of HRE Investment
Holdings II 1 S.à.r.l. held in Hypo Real Estate Holding AG (WKN: 802770 /
ISIN: DE0008027707), Unsoeldstrasse 2, 80538 Munich, Germany, fell below
the threshold of 5 % and amounted to 4.64 % (10,728,083 voting rights) on
this day.

In addition we notify you in the name and on behalf of  Close Trustees
(Cayman) Limited, Grand Cayman KY1-1102, Cayman Islands, according to
section 21 para 1 WpHG that on 31 March 2009 the voting rights held in Hypo
Real Estate Holding AG (WKN: 802770 / ISIN: DE0008027707), Unsoeldstrasse
2, 80538 Munich, Germany, fell below the threshold of 5 % and amounted to
4.64  % (10,728,083 voting rights) on this day. All of the voting rights
are attributed  Close Trustees (Cayman) Limited  according to section 22
para 1 sentence 1 No. 1 WpHG by HRE Investment Holdings II 1 S.à.r.l..

Close Trustees (Cayman) Limited  and HRE Investment Holdings II 1 S.à.r.l.
did not receive voting rights by exercising of a granted privilege by means
of financial instruments according to section 25 para 1 sentence 1 WpHG to
acquire shares of  Hypo Real Estate Holding AG.'
