EXEL COMPOSITES PLC STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 23.4.2009 at 12.30 EXEL PLC'S NEW NAME, EXEL COMPOSITES PLC, ENTERED INTO TRADE REGISTER Based on the decision of Exel's Annual General Meeting on 16 April 2009, the change of Exel Plc's business name (Business ID: 1067292-7) was entered into the Trade Register today. The Company's new name is Exel Composites Plc in English and Exel Composites Oyj in Finnish. The choice of name Exel Composites reflects the Company's evolution from an industrial division within Exel, through expansion and several acquisitions, to a purely business-to-business company which is no longer involved in the sports consumer business. The change of name supports Exel Composites' strategic goal to continue to be the world's first international pultrusion company. Exel Composites has production plants in Austria, Australia, Belgium, China, Finland, Germany and the UK. Exel will remain the Company's secondary company name.
