On 21 April 2009 Hypo Real Estate Holding AG, Unsoeldstrasse 2, 80538
Munich, was notified of the following:

'In the name and on behalf of  HRE Investment Holdings II 2 S.à.r.l.,
L-2346 Luxemburg, Luxemburg we hereby notify you according to section 21
para 1 WpHG that on 31 March 2009 the voting rights of HRE Investment
Holdings II 2 S.à.r.l., held in Hypo Real Estate Holding AG (WKN: 802770 /
ISIN: DE0008027707), Unsoeldstrasse 2, 80538 Munich, Germany, fell below
the threshold of 3 % and amounted to 2.86 % (6,614,072 voting rights) on
this day.

In addition we notify you in the name and on behalf of  ATC Trustees
(Cayman) Limited, George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, according to
section 21 para 1 WpHG that on 31 March 2009 the voting rights held in Hypo
Real Estate Holding AG (WKN: 802770 / ISIN: DE0008027707), Unsoeldstrasse
2, 80538 Munich, Germany, fell below the threshold of 3 % and amounted to
2.86 % (6,614,072 voting rights) on this day.All of the voting rights are
attributed  ATC Trustees (Cayman) Limited  according to section 22 para 1
sentence 1 No. 1 WpHG by HRE Investment Holdings II 2 S.à.r.l..

ATC Trustees (Cayman) Limited  and HRE Investment Holdings II 2 S.à.r.l.
did not receive voting rights by exercising of a granted privilege by means
of financial instruments according to section 25 para 1 sentence 1 WpHG to
acquire shares of  Hypo Real Estate Holding AG.'
