Brother(r) Publishes Public Safety Case Study Highlighting the COPsync Information Sharing Solution

CANYON LAKE, Texas, April 27, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- COPsync, Inc. (OTCBB:COYN), a software technology provider to law enforcement and emergency service professionals, announced today that Brother International Corporation published a public safety case study which highlighted COPsync's law enforcement data collection and information sharing solution using the Brother MW-260 mobile printer for warning notifications and traffic citations.

According to the Case Study, the COPsync Solution addresses the critical challenge of providing a real-time information sharing solution to law enforcement agencies and emergency response personnel that complies with Government mandates to share information and intelligence on suspected terrorist and criminal activities. In order to address this challenge, COPsync developed a comprehensive software platform for mobile data collection and real-time information sharing tailored specifically for law enforcement officers. As part of their solution, COPsync uses the Brother MW-260 mobile printer for printing electronic citations, criminal trespass warnings, family violence notifications, security check notifications, and towed vehicle inventory sheets.

To complete the solution, COPsync needed a mobile printer to provide hardcopy output from their software. COPsync management experimented with letter-size printers and small-format printers using rolls of thermal paper. "We found these solutions lacking, and then researched and found the Brother MPrint MW-260 mobile printer. After extensive testing, we found that the MW-260 was the best printer for our application and decided to incorporate it into our solution," says Shane Rapp, President of COPsync. "To date, our customers have unanimously praised the MW-260. This printer saves space in the very limited confines of a patrol car, is cost effective, has been very reliable, and produces a high quality, very readable printout. Additionally, paper cartridges can be quickly and efficiently replaced when needed," added Rapp.
