RTX Telecom has today entered into an agreement with the Mexican tele operator Marcatel. The agreement concerns a turnkey project in the northern part of Mexico, where Marcatel is to install RTX Telecom's wireless IP network solution for telephony and data in one cluster consisting of 5 cities within the next 3 to 12 months. RTX Telecom and Marcatel expect to intall the system in 20 clusters, totaling approximately 100 cities, during the following 36 months. The agreement concerns the first cluster. The agreement has been made in close cooperation with RTX Telecom's Mexican partner Comnet. RTX Telecom has in its turn around strategy focused on South and Central America as the natural market for its operator solution. This order can together with the ongoing project in northern Brazil be seen as a breakthrough for this strategy. The agreement is part of the already announced expectations for the company for the financial year 2008/09, and the expectations are maintained.
