City National Prices Public Offering of 2.8 Million Shares


LOS ANGELES, May 5, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- City National Corporation (NYSE:CYN), the parent company of City National Bank, today announced that its public offering of 2,800,000 shares of common stock was priced at $39.00 per share.

The company announced its offering on May 4, 2009 and expects it to close on or about May 8.

The underwriters have a 30-day option to purchase as many as 420,000 additional shares of City National's common stock.

Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and Merrill Lynch & Co. acted as book-running managers for the equity transaction. Sandler O'Neill + Partners, L.P. was the co-manager.
