Wall Street Journal to Present Future of Sports Panel; Live Webcast Featuring League Commissioners

Commissioners Bettman, Goodell, Selig and Stern to Participate


NEW YORK, May 5, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Wall Street Journal today announced it will host a panel discussion on The Future of Sports featuring a rare joint appearance by four commissioners from the largest North American team sports leagues, including Gary B. Bettman of the National Hockey League; Roger Goodell of the National Football League; Allan H. (Bud) Selig of Major League Baseball; and David J. Stern of the National Basketball Association.

The event will address the business of sports, including the challenges and opportunities the leagues face in the current economic climate, as well as issues of competition and matters that are important to fans. The Future of Sports will be webcast live on WSJ.com and FOXSports.com on Wednesday, May 6, beginning at approximately 9 a.m. ET.
