Nordic Tankers receives new handy-size tanker

Today, Nordic Tanker had the handy-size product tanker NORDIC AGNETHA delivered
from the Hyundai-Mipo shipyard in South Korea. Nordic Tankers co-owns the
vessel with its Italy-based business partner Zacchello Group via the jointly
owned shipping company Nordic Seaarland Tankers.

NORDIC AGNETHA is a 37,400 dwt product tanker built in accordance with the
so-called IMO2 requirements, which means that in addition to oil products, it
can carry light chemicals. Like the other three handy-size tankers of the
Nordic Tankers fleet, the vessel will be included in Maersk Tankers'
Hankytankers pool, the largest pool in the world for this type of vessels.

In July, Nordic Tankers will have a sister vessel to NORDIC AGNETHA delivered.
The new vessel has been named AMY and is co-owned with the Zacchello Group via
Nordic Seaarland Tankers. Including these newbuildings, the Nordic Tankers
fleet will total ten modern vessels with an average age of just 2.6 years. The
young and modern fleet is a significant competitive parameter because of
increasing safety and environmental requirements.

”Even though the market for product tankers is slowed by the global recession,
the young fleet is an asset for Nordic Tankers as customers and partners make
ever higher demands on modern and environmentally sound vessels,” says Chairman
of the Supervisory Board of Nordic Tankers Klaus Kjærulff.

The delivery of NORDIC AGNETHA will not affect the outlook for the year, which
remains unchanged since the interim announcement of the financial statements of
26 March 2009 (Stock Exchange Release no. 52).
