IT – Network backbone upgrade (47/09)

In order to meet the current and future demands of increasing trading traffic and infrastructure demands, Nasdaq OMX will replace parts of its backbone network. These hardware replacements should be transparent for all members; no changes on any customers’ routers will be implemented. The traffic will automatically be re-routed through the new hardware; no changes in IP addresses will be implemented. Even so, we recommend you that you confirm through a connectivity test that your Nasdaq OMX trading applications can reach our networks after the region specific upgrade has been done. (The production systems are closed as normal, so it is purely a connectivity test). See schedule below.

You do not have to report in your results if successful. If you run into problems, please contact First Line support during the testing-hours on +46 8 405 67 50. For question regarding this upgrade please contact you normal Technical Account Manager.

Each country’s traffic will be logically migrated during a weekend maintenance window from the current Global Core connections onto the newly established backbone connections.
