inVentiv Strategy & Analytics Consolidates and Rebrands as inVentiv Advance Insights

SOMERSET, N.J., May 14, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- inVentiv Health, Inc. (Nasdaq:VTIV), a leading provider of commercialization services to the global pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, today announced that its Strategy & Analytics division, a part of inVentiv Commercial, has consolidated four separate business units into a single operation and will rebrand under the new name, "inVentiv Advance Insights."

Prior to the reorganization, the group operated as four distinct businesses: CHS, Health Products Research (HPR), Strategyx and Ventiv Access Group. Under the new consolidated structure, services will be realigned around three complementary practice areas: Market Research/Commercial Analytics, Global Commercialization, and Managed Markets. The new inVentiv Advance Insights division capitalizes on the integration of its five core capabilities: market research, commercial analytics, management and strategy consulting, commercialization planning and plan execution.

"inVentiv Advance Insights is a critical part of our business because when clients are beginning the commercialization process for a product, they often turn to experts in this group for help in building a roadmap to commercial success," said Terry Herring, President and COO of inVentiv Health Inc. "Under the new alignment, capabilities and roles have been more clearly distinguished, enabling the team to work more effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of customers. In addition, the consolidated structure supports our ability to collaborate and develop new solutions for clients, as well as generate integrated business opportunities with other inVentiv divisions."

The new name, inVentiv Advance Insights, was selected to more accurately reflect the value that the group delivers for its clients.

"Healthcare companies launching new products or trying to revitalize existing products are under intense pressure today. Understanding and navigating the complexities of the marketplace is critical," said Norman Stalsberg, President of inVentiv Advance Insights. "Our new name underscores our ability to advance our clients with insights and guidance that will further their goals and support their success."
