Tightwad Bank Selects Goldleaf for Web Design and Hosting

Bank Redesigns Web Site to Promote Renaming, Market to Broader Customer Base

ATLANTA, May 15, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Goldleaf Financial Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq:GFSI), a provider of integrated technology-based solutions designed to improve the performance of financial institutions, has been selected by Tightwad Bank to provide Web design and hosting for the newly re-branded Reading, Kan.-based institution.

In opening a second branch last year in Tightwad, Mo., the bank (formerly known Reading State Bank) saw a unique, somewhat untraditional marketing opportunity to expand its reach and grow deposits in a new marketplace and with a new name. It underwent a renaming and trademark acquisition to become Tightwad Bank, and in doing so recognized the need for significant Web site updating.

Don Higdon, CEO of Tightwad Bank, explained, "Rather than searching for a vendor limited to only having a solid technology background, we were interested in a true partner, one with strong financial knowledge that we could trust to deploy our Web related services." Tightwad Bank wanted an industry specialist to spearhead all its compliance and security protocols associated with the Web site. Knowing that this level of service was unavailable with local novice shops that have no financial experience, Tightwad sought the help of Goldleaf.

Higdon continued, "Though we were approached by several vendors - all of which could offer Web construction, maintenance and monitoring - only Goldleaf could provide the depth of experience and financial expertise to meet our needs." He noted that Goldleaf was proactive and forward thinking in making modifications to the site's current design as well as suggestions on features such as SSL. Tightwad also appreciated the ability to maintain and update the Web site on its own because of Goldleaf's comprehensive and easy to understand architecture.

"The Internet has emerged as a top channel for conducting various business transactions, especially for community institutions such as Tightwad Bank that are otherwise limited by their geographic presence," said Lynn Boggs, CEO of Goldleaf. "In response, more sophistication is required in regards to Web design and security, two areas in which Goldleaf continues to grow. Our products and services provide financial institutions with the tools for strategic expansion, enhanced efficiency and increased profitability."
