Kissing the Blarney Stone -- Roger Pinette Promotes An Educational Compilation to Transcend Desires for Expression

HOMOSASSA, Fla., May 20, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In the intent of promoting clearer, more effective communication, Roger G. Pinette develops an expansive collection on popular figures of speech and other facets of communication in his informative book published through Xlibris, On Modes of Communication.

Pinette helps speakers and writers become more colorful, emphatic and expressive communicators by helping enhance the vocabulary -- every communicator's most essential tool. He endeavors to document the creatively varied modes of communication used in the English language, compiling an extensive list of metaphors, idioms, sayings, epigrams and one-word tropes together with their meanings. He organizes this list according to kind, purpose, history, and usage. As well, Pinette provides a brief outline of the history of communication, from the onset of language to the groundbreaking Internet, and includes major historical events on modes of communication. Also included are some of the recognized alphabets, like Greek, Phonetic and Deaf Blind Manual, and other facets of communication like the International Morse Code, Semaphore Flag Codes and Ship's Bells Codes. To boot, Pinette directs readers to classic, tried-and-tested sources of expressions, sayings and quotes from a list of recommended readings by some well-known names as Pope, Wordsworth, Twain and Longfellow, to name a few.

On Modes of Communication will expose readers to the notions of employing concepts, imagery, perspectives and symbolism in order for them to understand unfamiliar communicative expressions they may encounter in the future, and more importantly, enable them to employ similar options of expression in conveyances while aiming for originality and emphasis.
