To Live Life With All Its 'Exits and Entrances' -- Charming Memoir Gives a Glimpse of the Inner Life of a 'Regular-Guy' Clergyman

CINCINNATI, May 26, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dean Leo demonstrates that a man assumes many roles as he sums up his own life in the aptly named memoir, Exits and Entrances. Dean Leo explains this multiple-role condition applies to everyone. Even someone who has devoted himself to a noble vocation will still hold one or two other roles, if not by choice, then by force of circumstance.

Exits and Entrances gathers moments and events from Dean Leo's widely disparate experiences that portray the various characters that he had played throughout his life. His book captures his life in Paris during his time as Dean of the American Cathedral, bringing the city to life as he relates sitting in a cafe or hiding out in one of Paris' famous river boats. Rev. Leo inadvertently becomes part of history and gets his fifteen seconds of fame after being called to the deathbed of the controversial Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson. James also hosted three American Presidents during their time to Paris and the Cathedral.

Through flashbacks, he revisits his younger days with tales that include his escape from an overly strict upbringing, leading to his various adventures in the workplace as a waiter then an insurance man, in love, and ultimately to an event that changed his life forever. James also stretches out the full range of his humanity when cancer strikes him and as he battles to win. A cloud of depression would descend on this vibrant priest, which would disappear in the strangest of places -- a shopping center filled with "mall-walkers."

Lighthearted yet vastly meaningful, Exits and Entrances displays the charming honesty of a priest who, as he puts it, is just a person battling difficult odds and the vagaries of life with the sharp rapier of his humor and infallible optimism. The glimpses that Dean Leo grant into his life are tiny, yet hold universal themes that every reader can relate to. For more information, log on to www.Xlibris.com.
