In the Czech city of Hodonice the German solar power group SolarWorld AG
yesterday opened a solar farm with a capacity of 2.2 Megawatt together with
its partners Renoenergie and Soleg. In the vicinity of the metropolis of
Brno a total of 12,000 SolarWorld modules are generating enough power to
meets the needs of more than 2,000 people. The Czech Republic whose funding
system for solar power is fashioned along the lines of the German law on
renewable energies (EEG) is one of the most promising European growth
markets for solar energy.

Florida's largest on-roof system with SolarWorld modules

On the roof of the Orange County Convention Center, the second largest
conference and exhibition center in the USA, SolarWorld modules with a
total capacity of one Megawatt started generating clean electricity this
month. This system is the largest on-roof solar power plant in the sunshine
state of Florida and one of the biggest in the entire USA. The operator is
the regional utility OUC. With the supply of the solar modules the German
solar group underlines its claim of playing a major role in the growing US
market. Already today SolarWorld is the leading solar technology
manufacturer in the USA with its production facilities in California,
Oregon and Washington State.

SolarWorld modules on the Bonn World Conference Center

A SolarWorld solar power plant is now also generating clean power on the
area of the former Federal German Parliament (Bundestag). 284 modules with
a total output capacity of 52.5 Kilowatt adorn the roof of what is the
World Conference Center today. The order was placed by the Bonn city
utility and installed by the installation partner Thermovolt.
