My Side of the Bars Reveals the Dark Side of the Prison System -- New Book is An Official Entry At This Year's Pennsylvania Library Association Regional Book Exhibit

HAWLEY, Pa., June 2, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cleo Dunnit has seen it all. During her time as a prison nurse, she witnessed how corrupt and evil the system really was. The inmates were not the only sinners as manipulative prison officers and executives lacked the discipline and will to run an efficient system. Learn more about the truth behind bars in My Side of the Bars, Dunnit's new book released through Xlibris.

My Side of the Bars follows the exploits of a forensic psychiatric nurse working in a New York maximum security prison. It reveals the criminal mind at work in all its manipulations, selfishness, and lack of remorse as well as how the manipulative behavior of the inmates is condoned versus being corrected. Readers will also discover revelations about the bureaucratic incompetence of the state system, and how it actually sets up anyone released from prison for failure. Interestingly, the book also shows that although there are many hard working dedicated employees, there are also incompetent and inept persons who are never held accountable or fired. From the first page until the last, readers will discover how dark the system handling inmates really is.
