About the Author

Lattice Boykin Mckoy is the sixth sibling of ten (three boys and seven girls), born to Rev. and Mrs. L. B. Boykin of Rose Hill, North Carolina.

She became an RN in Wilmington, North Carolina. Some of the institutions where she practiced are: Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee; Howard University in Washington, DC; and the University of Maryland, Provident Hospital, and Seton Psychiatric Institute, all in Baltimore, Maryland.

Her BS, MSN, and PhD were finished at the University of Maryland.

In 1954, She married Savoy Sherrill. They divorced in 1969. She is presently married to Romay Mckoy. She lives in 79 Romay Mckoy Lane, Rose Hill, North Carolina.
