New head of Swedbank Luxembourg appointed

Lars Friberg has been appointed as new Head of Swedbank Luxembourg SA. Lars
Friberg, who also has been appointed as new Head of Private Banking at Swedbank,
will take up his new positions after the summer.  

- Through this appointment we will strengthen our Private Banking activities
across the Group which will be beneficial for our customers, says Peter Rydell,
Chairman of the Board of Swedbank Luxembourg.

Swedbank Luxembourg will be included in the business area Swedish banking from 1
July 2009.
