Bryan Cave LLP to Host Top CA Leaders at Conference on Clean Technology, Renewable Energy and Sustainability

Attorney General Jerry Brown to Provide Keynote

LOS ANGELES, June 8, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Over 30 leading elected official and business professionals will address how high-tech can help businesses run cleaner, more efficiently and more profitably at Clean Tech Roundtable hosted by Bryan Cave LLP at The Broad Stage at Santa Monica College on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. The event will feature top California leaders, including Attorney General Jerry Brown, Treasurer Bill Lockyer, Controller John Chiang, and former Controller and clean tech venture capitalist Steve Westly. The state leaders will outline their vision on how to promote important new state and federal clean technology initiatives.

Bobby Shriver, Santa Monica City Councilman, will lead a panel discussion on how to access grants and other government incentives for clean technology projects, including "stimulus" funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Experts will share how investors assess clean technology investment opportunities, how current and anticipated environmental regulatory programs (including "cap and trade") could foster or hinder renewable energy and other clean technology initiatives, and other unique business issues facing clean technology industries.

This event is free and open to the public. Members of the media - including reporters, writers, editors, photographers and production crews - are encouraged to register in advance to receive press passes for the Clean Tech Roundtable by calling James Wood at (310) 576-2341.
