StockerYale Introduces New Laser Products At Laser World of Photonics

Expands Product Offering Into Bio-Medical, Inspection and R&D Markets

SALEM, N.H., June 10, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- StockerYale, Inc. (OTCBB:STKR.OB), a leading designer and manufacturer of structured light lasers, LED modules and specialty optical fibers for industrial OEMs, medical and defense markets, will unveil five new laser products at Laser World of Photonics in Munich, Germany, June 15-18, 2009, the world's leading international exhibition for laser and optical technologies.

"The introduction of these new products reflects continued R&D investment in our laser module product line, which currently represents the largest segment of our Company," stated Mark W. Blodgett, Chairman and CEO of StockerYale Inc. "Our goal has been to broaden our product offering, including distributed product, to offer our growing customer base innovative laser-based solutions. The Company product and market strategy has focused on both the bio medical instrumentation and defense markets and based upon recent customer orders this strategy is showing meaningful results. "

New products include the Lasiris(tm) PureBeam fiber-coupled laser (405 nm), which is designed for flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, bio-detection, and other high-end applications. Manufactured in the StockerYale Class 100 clean room environment utilizing the Company's proprietary welding technology, it features a single-mode polarization maintaining optical fiber delivery system and provides excellent power stability and wavelength, as well as low noise at the fiber exit.

The new Lasiris(tm) Green PowerLine pattern generator is intended for applications including hot steel inspection, glass inspection, ambient noise environments, targeting and R&D. Available in power from 50 mW up to 200 mW, this structured light laser offers a thermoelectric system that maintains a constant laser diode temperature, resulting in a better lifetime and power stability in addition to external focus capability.

The Company's U.K. subsidiary, Photonic Products Ltd. will unveil three new products: a new range of micro laser diode collimators, which achieve the technically difficult feat of combining high alignment accuracy with a miniature package; a line of variable focus industrial laser diode modules and SANYO's new low-noise, green DPSS laser module for bio-medical and other demanding applications. The SANYO laser module has output power of 10mW and RMS noise level of 0.5% and is part of SANYO's popular DLX range of 532nm DPSS TEC laser modules. Photonic Products Ltd. is an authorized SANYO distributor.
