SALCOMP INTRODUCES NOVA POWER ADAPTER PLATFORM

Salcomp has introduced a new Nova power adapter platform which broadens
Salcomp's product range outside low power range chargers. The output power level
of the power adapters based on the Nova platform is higher than i.e. in the
mobile phone chargers, and Nova power adapters are suitable for data
communications devices, such as modems and routers.

”Nova power adapter platform is a significant milestone for Salcomp and a step
towards markets outside the low power range charger segment. According to our
strategy, we aim to broaden our product portfolio to the medium power range
adapter segment, i.e. 15-50 watts. This segment includes, among other things,
data communications devices, such as modems and routers used for connecting data
networks. Furthermore, it includes netbooks and point-of-sales devices familiar
from the shop cash desks. Our know-how achieved through long experience in
mobile phone chargers can be utilized in this segment which, in addition, has
prominent growth outlook,” tells Markku Hangasjärvi, President and CEO at
Salcomp.

Nova product platform differs from Salcomp's other platforms both by its output
voltage and output power. Output voltage in Nova power adapters can be
customized in range of 9 - 20 volts and the output power is 15 watts,
respectively 5-6 volts and 4 watts in mobile phone chargers.

Nova is one of Salcomp's six power supply solutions based on the company's own
platforms. The other platforms are Cosmo, Eagle, Mini, Multiplug and Stratos.
All of these platforms are specified and developed by Salcomp. They feature
technologically flexible, globally safety-approved chargers that can be sold as
such or further tailored to the customer's specific needs.
