Autoliv Receives Two Ford World  Excellence Gold Awards 

(Stockholm, Sweden, June 25, 2009) - - -  Autoliv Inc. (NYSE:ALV and SSE:ALIV),
worldwide leader in automotive safety, today announced it has received two 2008
Ford Motor Company World Excellence Gold Awards, Ford's highest recognition for
suppliers. Ford World Excellence Awards are given to suppliers for helping Ford
achieve superior quality, delivery and cost performance, as well as initiatives
that improve customer satisfaction.  

Ford Motor Company honored its top suppliers Monday evening at its 11th World
Excellence Awards ceremony. A total of thirty-six suppliers representing
operations in eight countries were recognized in three categories: Gold, Silver
and Recognition of Achievement. In the Gold category, Autoliv was the only
supplier receiving more than one award.

The two Autoliv facilities that were honored by Ford World Excellence Awards
were Autoliv BKI S.A in Spain and Autoliv B.V. Werk Süd in Germany.
