Saeta for a Son -- A Stirring Memoir of a Man in Search of Life's Meaning

MCLEAN, Va., July 6, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Find yourself immersed in a remarkable story of a young man's struggle as he searches for meaning in his life and for a way to reinforce faith at a time when Christianity and all other religious beliefs are under attack. Ralph G. DePalma, in Saeta for a Son, has written a moving spiritual history that will not only interest believers but will also attract the attention of serious readers.

This is a biographical account of the life and times of a physician and Episcopal Priest who was born in Spain in 1961, and who died suddenly in June 2006. The account of his life is an open hymn of praise from his father who loved him. The word Saeta, or "arrow of praise," describes the tone and tenor of this story. Saeta is connected to the time of the birth of Ralph Lawrence DePalma, which took place just as Holy Week or "Semana Santa" began in Sevilla.

DePalma's memoir also centers on grieving, coping with painful personal loss, and an account of the spiritual searches of a son and his father. The author, a prominent surgeon who has held leadership positions in academic and government service, vividly describes his grief and the events leading up to the sudden death of an unusual and gifted young man. This amazing book also contains original photographs taken by both of them relating to forces and individuals that influenced both of their lives.

Delve into this unforgettable biography as it not only satisfies your craving for a wonderful book, but also captivates your mind, heart, and soul. DePalma's Saeta for a Son is a touching page-turner that will bring comfort to those who have lost loved ones.
