Energy 1 Concludes Phase I Testing of Its Commercial Unit and Releases Preliminary Results

DETROIT, July 29, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Energy 1 Corporation (Pink Sheets:EGOC) announced today that it has concluded its Phase I testing of its Commercial Unit, which was installed at a G8 country embassy.

According to the results, the G8 embassy voluntarily removed itself from the power grid and was powered solely by the Energy 1 technology for a period of one month before testing was stopped because of both political and security reasons. The initial test had a few glitches with power fluctuations during peak hours but modifications were quickly made to resolve the issues. The company now plans to install a residential unit by September and run testing for a continuous period of six months.

"Testing the unit live at an important institution for such a prolonged period of time had its challenges, but the results are clear, we truly have a revolutionary technology," said Robert Wilson, President of Energy 1 Corp. "The confidentiality of the G8 country embassy was necessary but always makes people suspicious of our results, which is why we are going to perform our Phase II testing at a residence, which can be viewed by our shareholders and stakeholders and our results audited by an independent firm," further added Mr. Wilson.
