The unaudited results for the first half of 2009 of Limarko laivininkystes kompanija AB (LLK) were prepared in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards. The revenue of LLK for the first half of 2009 amounted to LTL 71.6 million (EUR 20.7 million) and decreased by 7% when compared to the revenue of LTL 77.2 million (EUR 22.3 million) during the first half of 2008. During the first half of 2009 LLK achieved the EBITDA of LTL 16.1 million (EUR 4.7 million) and the EBITDA margin was 23%. The EBITDA for the first half of 2008 was LTL 19.4 million (EUR 5.6 million) and the EBITDA margin was 25%. The loss of LLK for the first half of 2009 was LTL 2.2 million (EUR 0.6 million). The pre-tax profit of LLK for the first half of 2008 was LTL 11.8 million (EUR 3.4 million). The main reasons affecting the results of the first half of 2009 were: - the decrease in demand for transportation of cargo by sea as a result of economic slowdown as well as a decrease in freight levels. Increasing international trade volumes in the second half of the year give reason to expect good results for the company in the future.
