DotNetNuke Announces Inaugural "OpenForce '09 Community Choice Awards" to Recognize Users Favorite .NET Websites

WHAT:

DotNetNuke Corp. (http://bit.ly/8G1w), the most widely adopted framework for building web sites and web applications on Microsoft .NET, announced the "OpenForce '09 Community Choice Awards," where OpenForce attendees, web developers and designers and other interested parties can recognize their favorite websites based on .NET.

Winning websites will be selected based on the highest number of votes received. Winners will be recognized at the OpenForce Conferences held in Las Vegas (November 9) and the Netherlands (October 19) and featured in an online showcase. In addition, all registered voters will be entered for a drawing to receive one of 20 free DotNetNuke laptop bags.


Contest rules state that web sites may be nominated for only one category. These include:

--  Best overall site design (which includes all entries for the three
    categories, below)
--  Most creative/original site design
--  Best new ecommerce site (launched after 12/1/08)
--  Best new informational site (launched after 12/1/08)

WHEN:

Nominations will be accepted starting August 20, 2009 through September 14, 2009. Voting starts on September 4. Winners will be announced live at OpenForce Europe (October 19) and OpenForce North America (November 9).
