Ad hoc communication according to Section 15

WaveLight AG: Squeeze-out registered in the commercial register.
Erlangen, October 13, 2009. The commercial register of the Local Court
(Amtsgericht) of Fürth registered on October 12, 2009 the resolution of the
Annual General Meeting of WaveLight AG (Company address: Am Wolfsmantel 5,
91058 Erlangen; ISIN: DE0005125603) of August 28, 2009 on the transfer of
shares of the Minority Shareholders of WaveLight AG to Alcon, Inc.,
Hünenberg, Switzerland (Principal Shareholder) in return for an adequate
cash compensation in the amount of EUR 20,02 per share.
Upon registration of the resolution on the transfer of shares in the
commercial register, all shares of the Minority Shareholders of WaveLight
AG have been transferred to Alcon, Inc. by operation of law.
The listing of the shares of WaveLight AG will be terminated shortly.
