DRC Awarded Air Force Work Supporting Weapon Systems Management Information System Valued at $7.4 Million


ANDOVER, Mass., Dec. 21, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dynamics Research Corporation (Nasdaq: DRCO), a leading provider of innovative management, engineering, and technology solutions to federal and state governments, today announced it has been awarded a contract with an estimated value of $7.4 million to support the Weapon System Management Information System (WSMIS). The contract, which has been awarded to DRC by CSC, enables the Company to continue providing maintenance, sustainment, integration, and migration services. The contract has a seven-month base period and four one-year options.

WSMIS is an end-to-end software system that enables Air Force personnel globally to track the lifecycle of aircraft parts and weaponry. The program provides real-time data on aircraft parts, weapons status and operability, allowing for the immediate assessment of the numbers and locations of mission-ready aircraft, which is critical to evaluating deployment readiness. DRC will continue to provide maintenance and sustainment services for WSMIS modules and systems. DRC will also assist with integration and migration of WSMIS modules/systems with other Air Force information technology activities and initiatives including the Global Combat Support System, Data Services warehouse and the Enterprise Service Bus. In addition, DRC will support the transition of WSMIS modules, systems and functions to the Expeditionary Combat Support System.
