COPsync Brings Nationwide Real-Time In-Car Information Sharing to Additional Texas Law Enforcement Agencies

Law Enforcement Agencies Adopt COPsync's Software, Citing Its In-Car Efficiency, Officer Safety Technologies, and Ease of Use

CANYON LAKE, Texas, Feb. 3, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- COPsync, Inc. (OTCBB:COYN), a software technology provider to law enforcement and emergency service professionals, announces the installation of its COPsync™ software at six additional law enforcement agencies within the State of Texas. With the installation of the COPsync  software in their patrol vehicles, the City of East Tawakoni Police Department, County of Hall Sheriff’s Office, City of Hamlin Police Department, City of Lone Oak Police Department, County of Milam Sheriff’s Office, and City of Roscoe Police Department are joining the largest real-time, in-vehicle information sharing network for law enforcement agencies.

“Before the installation of COPsync, these agencies operated with no means of immediate data interoperability. The COPsync mobile software solution provides an efficient means of data collection and real-time information sharing,” stated COPsync CEO, Russell Chaney. “We empower officers using our solution with information, making them safer and more efficient. We believe that our technology makes the inefficiencies of information sharing in law enforcement a thing of the past.”

Milam County Investigator Chris White stated, “We are extremely pleased utilizing the COPsync in car system. I feel that now our deputies are much more efficient in the field.  COPsync is amazingly fast and reliable, providing TLETS returns and information faster than dispatch was able to return before.  It is also very useful when out on a vehicle stop or contact because COPsync's history feature automatically indicates who and why cars or individuals have been stopped or interviewed before.  We are looking forward to more agencies joining the network to bring the COPsync program to its fullest potential.”

“Utilizing COPsync provides my department a number of advantages that were not available before. We now have electronic access to all required reports and COPsync automatically keeps those reports up to date. Sending and receiving information electronically and in a real time setting has many advantages over more traditional methods.  Having the ability to receive TLET returns directly to the vehicle with additional COPsync history is another big advantage. As a user of COPsync, I am safer, better informed, and more efficient in my daily tasks,” commented, Chief Felix Pantoja of the Roscoe Police Department.

By implementing COPsync, these agencies are not only sharing critical information within their agency, but they join the largest real-time law enforcement information sharing network in the nation. The COPsync software, as the first and only integrated software product that provides a real-time, nationwide information sharing network for subscribing law enforcement agencies, continues to have success in introducing its software platform to the Texas law enforcement community. The COPsync technology platform assists in all of the activities that an officer could expect to perform while on duty, in a simple format and at the touch of a button, allowing the officer to spend more time on the street instead of behind a desk.
