Preliminary unaudited consolidated business results of Lietuvos Energija AB
group for 2009: 

- income - LTL 1.569 bn (EUR 454.3 m (income in 2008 totaled LTL 1.530 bn (EUR
443.2 m)); 
- pre-tax profit - LTL 24.45 m (EUR 7.1 m (pre-tax profit in 2008 totaled LTL
62.62 m (EUR 18.1 m)); 
- net profit - LTL 21.87 m (EUR 6.3 m (net profit in 2008 totaled LTL 43.74 m
(EUR 12.7 m)); 

During 2009, acting as the transmission system operator, Lietuvos Energija AB
transmitted 9.17 bn kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity for domestic needs. The
volume of transmitted electricity was lower by 9.3 year-on-year. Due to the
lower domestic electricity demand, the company sold 46.2 per cent more
electricity abroad year-on-year, which accounted for 3.47 bn kWh. 
The 2009 performance results of Lietuvos Energija group, as compared to 2008,
were positively affected by lower operation costs, although the results were
impaired by an increase in depreciation costs and a decrease in accounting
value of non-current tangible and non-tangible assets to their fair value,
having evaluated a drop in construction prices. The pre-tax profit in 2009 was
lower also due to a drop in electricity consumption. 
By the end of 2009 the company's financial liabilities to credit institutions
accounted for LTL 13.8 m (in 2008 - LTL 39.7 m).
