NKT Cables wins order for one of the world's largest submarine cables 
NKT Cables has today signed a contract with Energinet.dk to connect the Anholt
Offshore Wind Farm with Jutland. The order has a value of approx.135 mDKK. 

NKT Cables will supply a high voltage cable of approx. 25 km. operating at
245kV. With a diameter of 260 mm it will be among the largest submarine cables
in the world. This is a turn-key project where NKT Cables also will be
responsible for cable-laying and installation. 

"With this order NKT Cables consolidates its position as supplier of submarine
cables. The submarine cable will be manufactured at our new factory in
Cologne," says CEO of NKT Holding, Thomas Hofman-Bang. 

The Anholt Offshore Wind Farm will be Denmark's largest wind farm and is
scheduled for completion in 2012. The submarine cable is to connect to the grid
north of Grenaa Harbour, and type testing is scheduled for the end of 2010.
