NASHVILLE, TN and HONG KONG--(Marketwire - February 26, 2010) -  Naxos (www.naxos.com) has become the first record label to join The SupportMusic Coalition (www.supportmusic.com), a public service initiative undertaken by NAMM, the trade association for the global musical instruments and products industry, and MENC, the National Association for Music Education.

The SupportMusic Coalition unites over 200 music, arts, parent and civic organizations and related businesses with a common goal: to support increasing access to a complete education that includes music and arts education for all children. With this affiliation, Naxos is reaffirming its firm support of music and arts education for people of all ages because of its ability to instill a sense of responsibility, to inspire, and to encourage the creation and perpetuation of the arts.
