RESTON, Va., March 8, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been awarded a follow-on blanket purchase agreement (BPA) valued at up to $100 million from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to electronically convert and store federal employee records for streamlined access to information.
The Enterprise Human Resource Integration (EHRI) program is modernizing the way federal employees access and use human resource (HR) information through an online electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) application, analytical tools, and a government-wide data warehouse. The eOPF includes document scanning, indexing, digitization and Web-enabled access to more than one million federal civilian employees.
Northrop Grumman's Information Systems sector will provide project management, systems integration, lifecycle development support and systems engineering services to support the implementation and maintenance of eOPFs. To date, the company has completed implementation of approximately one million records at more than 35 federal agencies, making EHRI one of the largest electronic records initiatives in the federal government.

The eOPF is built on Northrop Grumman's e.POWER software platform for business process management and automation. EHRI's eOPF results in significant cost savings, better protects the rights and benefits of the federal workforce, enables the electronic transfer of HR data throughout the federal sector, and streamlines and improves government-wide reporting and data analyses.
The EHRI BPA consists of a one-year base period with four, one-year option periods for a total potential value of $100 million.
