Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Wins $2.5 Million SATCOM Equipment Order for New Enterprise Network


MELVILLE, N.Y., March 23, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., received a $2.5 million order for satellite communications equipment to support a new satellite-based enterprise network for a customer in the Asia-Pacific region.

The order includes delivery of the DMD20 Universal Satellite Modem and companion redundancy switches. A standards-based modem, the DMD20 supports IDR, IBS and DVB, and data rates up to 20 Mbps. With dual-band capability, the DMD20 can be switched between 70/140 MHz operation and L-Band. It includes a range of forward error correction, data interfaces, and software options. The DMD20 provides the flexibility and efficiencies to support virtually all satellite-based applications, including voice, video and data.
