DONG Energy A/S successfully issued Sterling bond


DONG Energy A/S has today successfully issued a GBP 500m bond with a maturity
of 30 years. The issuance was made under the company's existing debt issuance
programme (EMTN programme). 

Key details of the transaction:

Size: GBP 500m
Maturity date: 9 April 2040
Coupon: 5.75 %
Spread over Gilt (UK government bond): 118bp
Listing: London

The issuance gathered significant demand with the order book being several
times oversubscribed.

bond market. The obtained financing goes hand in hand with our increased
presence in the UK where we are building offshore wind farms, a gas-fired power
plant and are developing our gas & oil discoveries West of Shetland. In
addition, the transaction further diversifies our investor base and strengthens
our already strong liquidity position” comments Mr. Carsten Krogsgaard Thomsen,
Chief Financial Officer at DONG Energy. 

DONG Energy A/S is rated A- with a stable outlook by Standard & Poor's and Baa1
with a stable outlook by Moody's. 

Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank and SG CIB were acting as joint bookrunners for
this transaction. 

The content of this announcement does not alter the previously announced 
expectations for DONG Energy's financial result for 2010 or the announced 
expected level of investment.
