CHICAGO, April 6, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Echo Global Logistics, Inc. (Nasdaq:ECHO), a leading provider of technology enabled transportation and supply chain management services, today announced that it will open a new office in Dallas, Texas on April 5, 2010. The new office is aligned with management's strategy to penetrate untapped markets and capture further market share in the U.S.

The focus of the Company's new branch is to develop the regional sales organization in key metropolitan areas throughout the country. "Dallas is a major transportation hub for the Southern region of the U.S. and holds a great amount of growth potential for our Company. We look forward to developing new relationships in this region as we continue to build out our domestic footprint."

The Dallas office will be led by Mike Bryan, who has been with Echo since October 2008. Bryan will serve as Regional Branch Manager in the Dallas office. The office will initially be staffed with 10-12 new hire sales representatives. The 12-month hiring forecast is 30-40 employees.
