NEOMARKKA PLC STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE April 20, 2010 at 1.25pm NEOMARKKA IS INVESTING IN FINNDOMO Neomarkka Plc is expanding its business operations in line with its strategy and is investing in Finndomo Ltd. Finndomo is a leading producer of prefabricated wooden houses in the Nordic countries. Finndomo's main market areas are the Nordic countries, the Baltic states and Russia. Company's net sales in 2009 was 94 MEUR. ”Finndomo fits well into Neomarkka's strategy with its operations and main market areas in the Nordic countries, the Baltic states and Russia, all areas in where Neomarkka already has established business through Reka Cable's operations”, says Neomarkka's Managing Director Markku E. Rentto. ”We believe in Finndomo's profitable growth as the small house manufacturing business seems to have recovered from the worst downturn and the sales of prefabricated small houses has grown”, Rentto continues. ”We are pleased that Neomarkka decided to invest in Finndomo. After the investment Neomarkka holds 30% of the Finndomo shares. The other owners are Ilkka Brotherus, Finndomo's other key persons and private investors. With this deal Finndomo will have a strong, long term ownership structure. Finndomo's brands in Finland are Omatalo and FinndomoKoti and in Sweden Hjältevadshus and Modulenthus. In project sales brand name Finndomo is used. In addition to direct consumer sales Finndomo is an active partner in urban area building projects with construction contractors, construction companies, property owners and municipalities. Finndomo has a long history in Scandinavian small house manufacturing. The first factory in Sweden was established as early as in late 1920's and a little later in 1930's in Finland.
