Changes in Outotec's Executive Board

Outotec has appointed Mika Saariaho, Ph.D. (Technology), Chief Strategy Officer and member of the Executive Board as of August 1, 2010. Mika Saariaho, 37, has been Deputy Director General of the World Steel Association since 2007 based in Brussels, Belgium. Previously Mika Saariaho has been responsible for Outokumpu Oyj's corporate strategic planning, and he has been working as management consultant for McKinsey & Company. Mika Saariaho's responsibilities as Outotec's Chief Strategy Officer include corporate development, strategy process, mergers & acquisitions and integration processes.

Chief Financial Officer and member of Outotec's Executive Board, Vesa-Pekka Takala, will leave Outotec after 21 years of service in Outotec's former parent company Outokumpu in various leadership positions related to finance & control and as Outotec's CFO as of the listing of the company in 2006. Vesa-Pekka Takala will transfer to Metsäliitto Group, an international forest industry group, and he will work for Outotec until the end of July. The recruitment process for a new CFO is going on.
