Firm Expands Coverage of Texas Banks From Its Houston Office

Bass to the firm's Financial Institutions Investment Banking group. Mr. Bass will serve as a managing director in FBR Capital Markets' Houston office.

Mr. Bass joins FBR Capital Markets from The Carson Medlin Company, an investment bank specializing in corporate finance advisory services to financial institutions throughout the Sunbelt, where he was Executive Vice President and Managing Director. He was previously a senior vice president in Mergers & Acquisitions at Compass Bancshares. Earlier in his career he was a senior manager at KPMG focusing on financial institutions and also worked in investment banking at Alex Sheshunoff Management Services. He is a veteran of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation where he served as an analyst within both the Division of Supervision and the Division of Research and Statistics. Mr. Bass earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas, Austin, and received a Master of Science in Information Management from Marymount University.
