Atlas Copco promotes sustainable productivity at the World Expo in Shanghai,
China

Stockholm, Sweden, April 30, 2010: Atlas Copco will be present at the World Expo
2010 in Shanghai, China, as an official partner of the Swedish pavilion. The
Group will meet customers, business partners, investors and media at the Expo
during May 5-10, highlighting how it offers sustainable productivity in and for
China.

Atlas Copco, a world-leading supplier of compressors, construction and mining
equipment and industrial tools, has grown rapidly in China and had revenues last
year of about BSEK 7 in the country. The number of employees has increased in
the past decade from 500 to around 3 700, and the share of products manufactured
in China has doubled. Today the Group is represented in 110 cities and by seven
brands. To further support this development, the management of the Construction
and Mining Technique business area and the Oil-free Air division are now
relocating to Shanghai from Europe.

“China has recently become Atlas Copco's biggest market and in 2010, we expect
to launch more products than ever before that have been developed in China for
the requirements of local customers,” says Ronnie Leten, President and CEO of
the Atlas Copco Group. “In keeping with the theme of the World Expo - Better
City, Better Life - we look forward to sharing more about how Atlas Copco can
support future growth by innovative products and solutions that increase
productivity in a sustainable way.”

Products which have been or will be launched in China during 2010 include a
compact, silent and energy efficient compressor and a surface drill rig for use
in construction and quarries.

Visitors to the Swedish pavilion at the Expo will in the exhibition see Atlas
Copco's vision of the silenced drill rig of the future; offering increased
productivity, high mobility and minimal environmental impact.

Atlas Copco will hold a press conference on May 9 (the 60th anniversary of
Sweden's diplomatic relations with China) with presentations by Ronnie Leten and
Magnus Gyllö, Vice President of Atlas Copco (China) Investment Co. Björn
Rosengren, Vice President Construction and Mining Technique, and Chris Lybaert,
President of Oil-free Air, will also be available for questions.
