Magma "Titan Up!" Program Empowers Analog Designers to Improve Productivity and Reuse

Interactive Program Introduces Breakthrough Analog Design Capabilities, Features Online Quizzes, Weekly Prizes and a Free Trial of the Titan Software

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 5, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Magma® Design Automation Inc. (Nasdaq:LAVA), a provider of chip design software, today launched the "Titan Up!" program to educate analog designers about the latest technologies for analog and mixed-signal design. Analog design has traditionally been a manual, time-consuming task and reusing analog IP has been difficult, if not impossible. The Titan™ family of analog/mixed-signal design solutions delivers breakthrough analog design capabilities, including layout-aware schematic design; rapid design exploration and optimization; dramatically improved productivity for layout designers; analog design reuse; and automated process migration. To highlight these solutions, the interactive "Titan Up!" program includes a series of online quizzes and a free trial of the Titan software providing a designer-friendly introduction to Magma's Titan family of analog/mixed-signal design solutions.

The first element of the program, the "Titan Up!" online quizzes, allows designers to test their knowledge of analog design basics and analog IC history. Completing each quiz enables participants to enter a weekly drawing for an Apple iTouch. The free trial of the Titan solution will give designers hands-on experience porting reusable analog blocks and creating custom analog designs from reusable analog libraries. The "Titan Up!" online quizzes begin today and will be available through June 21. The Titan download will be available in June. Designers can access the quizzes and the download by visiting www.magma-da.com/TitanUp.

One iTouch per week will be given away. Only current and prospective Magma customers are eligible to win. No purchase necessary to enter, play or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning.
