SKF energy efficient bearings on show at the World Expo in Shanghai

SKF is an official partner in the Swedish pavilion at the World Expo 2010 that
opened 1 May in Shanghai. The theme of the World Expo is "Better City, Better
Life" and SKF is represented in the pavilion's permanent exhibition by the new
energy efficient bearings and an innovative solution for bearing arrangement in
wind mills.

-The World Expo theme suits SKF very well since sustainability is an area we
have worked on for several years. When it comes specifically to the environment
our focus is on minimizing the impact our company has on the environment in
doing our business and on developing products and solutions which help our
customers reduce their energy consumption. The World Expo is a great opportunity
for us to meet many of our local and international customers and to show many of
the new products and solutions we have developed, says Tom Johnstone, SKF
President and CEO.

Customers will see a special exhibit in the conference area of the pavilion, one
of them demonstrating the SKF WindCon system for continuous condition monitoring
of wind mill turbines. The wind power industry in China is growing very fast and
SKF supplies the leading manufacturers with bearings, seal, lubrication systems
and condition monitoring solutions.

China is a rapidly growing and very important market for SKF and during the last
three years SKF has significantly increased its investments in the country. SKF
has opened three new factories the largest of which is in Dalian, an investment
of SEK 1.1 billion and which will have 600 employees when completed. SKF has
also opened a wind industry service centre and two SKF Solution Factories in the
country.

- We have a long history in China. Our sales subsidiary opened already in 1916
and our first factory started in 1994. Today China is our third largest market
and we have more than 4000 employees. SKF has made a number of investments in
recent years to support our growth in this important market and we firmly intend
to continue the strong development of our business in China, says Tom Johnstone.
