Ivory International Implements NGC's CPSIA Compliance Software

Private Label Manufacturer Rolls Out CPSIA Software as Part of an Overall PLM and Global Sourcing Solution From NGC

MIAMI, May 11, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NGC® (New Generation Computing®) today announced that Ivory International, a private label manufacturer of men's and women's apparel for leading retailers, has implemented NGC's CPSIA Compliance Software. The software streamlines complex testing processes, making it easier for companies to meet the stringent requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).

NGC's CPSIA Compliance software is a web-based solution that includes a complete set of management features such as workflow calendars, collaboration, exception management, and email alerts. It integrates seamlessly with NGC's e-PLM® for Product Lifecycle Management and e-SPS® for global sourcing and visibility, both of which have been implemented at Ivory International. With the CPSIA software, Ivory can easily manage the process of requesting, tracking, approving and sending the Certificate of Compliance (COC) documents that are mandated by the CPSIA.

In addition, NGC's software will enable Ivory International to streamline its other testing process, including the dozens of third-party lab tests that brands and retailers perform on styles, components and materials. "Our customers include a number of Tier 1 retailers, each with its own unique testing requirements," explains Roger Mayerson, executive vice president and director of sourcing, Ivory International. "As a fast-paced, design-driven company, Ivory International needed a solution that would enable us to efficiently manage all of our testing processes including CPSIA. We are excited to be able to incorporate the CPSIA module as an integral part of our PLM and global sourcing solution from NGC."

"Managing compliance and testing is a critical part of the product lifecycle in apparel and retail, and NGC is proud to be the first apparel-specific software company to offer a solution for CPSIA compliance," said Alan Brooks, chairman, NGC. "We appreciate the strong relationship that NGC has developed with Ivory International, and we're pleased that Ivory selected our CPSIA software to further extend the value of NGC's PLM and global sourcing solutions."
