NEW YORK, May 12, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MarketWatch.com continues to expand its premium offerings with the launch of "Hulbert on Markets: What's Working Now," a weekly newsletter targeting active investors written by Mark Hulbert, a senior columnist for MarketWatch. Hulbert on Markets focuses on stocks, mutual funds, and market timing recommendations that are most popular among top performing advisers.  Mr. Hulbert highlights consensus recommendations from top performing advisers in each issue and provides his insightful commentary.

MarketWatch currently offers nine additional premium services, three of which are based on Mr. Hulbert's unique database that he created from 30 years of monitoring the performance of investment advisors. These offerings include the Hulbert Financial Digest (HFD), a monthly newsletter that reports on the performance of newsletters, and Hulbert Interactive, the premium section of MarketWatch.com that allows users to interact with the database.

Most recently, MarketWatch launched Revolution Investing by Cody Willard, financial columnist and co-host of Happy Hour for the Fox Business Network. Revolution Investing provides stock picks and insightful commentary to help investors understand how the changing political and financial landscape in Washington DC impacts investments.

"We have bolstered MarketWatch's lineup of premium product offerings and continue to add new content and features that attract and engage our audience of active investors," said David Callaway, editor-in-chief of MarketWatch.com. "Investors need to stay on top of what's happening and what it means for them, and we believe these recent additions will serve them well."

MarketWatch has also recently launched several new columns and features, including Speculations from contributor and award-winning financial journalist Jon Markman, focusing on stocks and stock market analysis; and Media Matters, a Web video show hosted by Jon Friedman, the site's Media Web columnist. Media Matters features interviews with leading media industry newsmakers and is available online on the first and third Monday of each month.
