Air passengers have chosen Finnair as the Best Airline in Northern Europe in the 2010 independent Skytrax survey. About 18 million passengers from some 100 different countries contributed to the Skytrax research, which was carried out between July 2009 and April 2010. "The customer is more important than anything to us, so we are absolutely delighted at our customers' feedback," says Christer Haglund, Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications. "This confirms that our product is already at the very highest level in world terms. Of course we want to keep developing our service to make it even better." The oneworld alliance, of which Finnair is an active member, was chosen in the Skytrax awards as the World's Best Airline Alliance for the seventh time. "We are in good company as a member of the world's best known airline alliance," says Paavo Virkkunen, responsible for Finnair's oneworld alliance relations. "Together with its alliance partners, Finnair has helped determinedly to develop oneworld services and quality criteria." Skytrax is a recognised research survey company that evaluates commercial airlines and their services. Finnair is rated as a four-star airline in Skytrax assessments.
