At InfoComm 2010 Sharp is demonstrating its expanded suite of professional display offerings, providing customers with a wide array of options for use in multimedia (data and video) projection, digital signage and display applications. Expanding its LCD monitor suite, Sharp is unveiling a 60-inch class Professional LED backlit LCD monitor, the PN-V601, with the world's slimmest bezel* in its class. Designed for video wall applications, Sharp will be showcasing the PN-V601 in a 3 x 3 monitor video wall. The 60-inch class screen size and ultra-slim bezel enables large wall configurations with fewer monitors, leading to reduced installation costs and power savings as well as a nearly seamless multi-screen display.

Sharp has also added five new 3D Ready DLP BrilliantColor projectors, and now offers ten models with a variety of brightness levels, resolutions and features for almost any venue or application. The full suite of 3D Ready projectors are available in brightness levels from 2500 to 5000 lumens, in both XGA and HD compatible Wide-XGA resolutions and in standard and "short-throw" lens designs.

"Sharp is a leader in identifying market-driven trends and then delivering one-of-a-kind products and technologies to meet the needs of a variety of customers," said Ed McLaughlin, president, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. "With a strong LCD technology foundation, Sharp continues to provide new products and solutions for the signage market and the new PN-V601 60-inch class LCD monitor with the world's thinnest bezel in its class enables large, efficient video wall configurations. Furthermore, Sharp's expanded 3D Ready professional projector line provides customers with high-quality presentation tools for now and the future."

Sharp will also showcase its current professional display offerings, including 3-chip DLP and 3-LCD professional installation/integration projectors, which provide exceptionally high picture quality and brightness at a competitive price point. Rounding out Sharp's offerings is the PN-E™ Professional LCD Monitor series introduced earlier this year. This monitor series, available in 42" class (42-1/16" diagonal) to 60" class (60-1/16" diagonal) screen sizes offers a thin bezel design for flexible mounting and placement options, combined with superior image quality and reliable 24/7 use.

The Sharp display solutions at InfoComm are ideal for businesses such as restaurants, hotels, corporate and educational facilities and houses of worship, as well as for trade shows, videoconferencing and digital signage. The following key products will be showcased at InfoComm. For additional details, please see individual product press releases.

Sharp PN-V601 Professional LCD Monitor with the world's thinnest bezel* in its class
Sharp introduces its first Professional LCD Monitor with LED backlighting, designed specifically for video wall applications. The full array LED-backlighting offers bright and uniform picture quality with low power consumption. With a slim profile, the new 60-inch class (60" diagonal) PN-V601 offers the world's slimmest bezel* available in a professional LCD display and can be used in a variety of signage and commercial display applications, in both landscape and portrait mode. For video wall configurations, the 60-inch class screen size enables a large wall to be created with fewer monitors, for a reduction in installation costs as well as power savings. Additionally, with an ultra-slim bezel that measures just over 1/8th of an inch (4.1mm) at the left side/top and 1/11th of an inch (2.4mm) at the right side/bottom of the panel, seam area between monitors is less obtrusive. The monitor offers an optional input/output interface expansion board (model PN-ZB02), which expands the available input/output terminals and permits DVI Daisy Chaining to link to five displays for easy and effective video walls. A built-in enlargement function allows a user to create up to 5x5 video walls from a PC and the monitors can all be controlled from one remote for seamless, uninterrupted operation. The monitor provides accurate and precise image reproduction as well as a high brightness, full array LED backlight of 700 cd/m2 for a bright picture in virtually any lighting condition. The PN-V601 incorporates a full complement of computer and video inputs and outputs to display all types of content. It is supported by a 3-year on-site limited warranty covering parts, labor and backlight, and is available through Sharp Professional Display Products dealers, distributors and resellers.

Quattron quad pixel AQUOS® LED LCD TVs (LE920, LE820 and LE810 Series)
Sharp is showcasing its three Quattron quad pixel AQUOS LED LCD TV series, breaking new ground in LCD technology and design. These LCD TVs offer a revolutionary technology, introducing never-before-seen colors to the TV industry. Sharp's proprietary Quattron quad pixel technology employs a four-color filter, for the first time in the industry, that adds the color Y (yellow) to the three colors of R (red), G (green), and B (blue). This combination expands the color gamut, faithfully rendering nearly all colors that can be discerned with the unaided human eye. Quad pixel technology enables the display to reproduce colors that have been difficult to portray using conventional LCD displays, such as the golden yellow color of brass instruments. When combined with Sharp's 1080p X-Gen LCD panel, which incorporates UV2A Technology, the displays offer dramatic reduction in energy consumption compared to conventional fluorescent-backlight LCD TVs. The AQUOS LEDs offer a stunning new contemporary design that pushes the envelope for flat-screen television artistry. At only 1.6-inches thin, the full-front panel glass (on the LE920 and LE820 series) extends to meet the slim border for a subtle edge that befits the elegance of a modern home theater. These advanced AQUOS LED LCD TVs also include Sharp's newest version of AQUOS Net, which delivers streaming video with Netflix®. AQUOS Net gives users instant access to customized Web-based content as well as AQUOS Advantage Live real-time customer support. The new AQUOS LED LCD TV product lines are all compliant with ENERGY STAR® Version 4.0 standards and are equipped with Sharp's OPC function that automatically adjusts the unit's brightness based on the lighting of the room.

Small-Screen AQUOS® LED LCD TVs
Sharp displays three small-screen AQUOS LED LCD TV models with a contemporary, ultra-thin design and high-quality performance. Available in 32- (31 1/2 diagonal) and 22-inch (21 1/2 diagonal) screen class sizes, the LS510 series (models LC-32LS510UT and LC-22LS510UT) delivers stunning Full HD 1080p imagery in a space-saving footprint. The 19-inch (18 1/2 diagonal) screen class size LC-19LS410UT rounds out Sharp's line of LED LCD TVs for any room or need. Employing a high-performance TFT LCD panel with Spectral Contrast Engine UD, these models, combined with an edge-lit LED backlight system, provide high contrast ratios for deep blacks and vibrant colors in dark or bright scenes. The LS510 and LS410 series tout a contemporary AQUOS edge design, in which the panel glass extends to the edge of the frame. With an ultra-thin depth of only 1.49 inches, these units offer ultimate placement flexibility. To help manage energy costs, these models meet the new ENERGY STAR® Version 4.0 standards. They come equipped with an HDMI® input for convenient connection to HD-capable devices, a PC input, allowing the screens to serve as a monitor for greater versatility, and a headphone mini-jack for easy speaker connections and USB photo and music.
