BioCentric Energy President Provides Shareholder Update

SANTA ANA, Calif., June 15, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Monique Berry, President, and Board Member for BioCentric Energy's (Pink Sheets:BEHL) announced the following Shareholder Update: Ms. Berry stated today, "I am pleased to announce the following updates to our valued shareholders:

1) The Company has been receiving inquiries from potential clients interested in deploying closed-loop photobioreactor systems in the Midwest states. Much of this interest stems from those seeking avenues to stimulate the economy. Although temperature constraints exist for closed-loop systems and the commercial production of algae, BioCentric Energy's CAB system (controlled algae basin) is designed to overcome many challenges related to temperature. During a visit from one potential client last week, Field Director Jose Sanchez explained that 'for latitudes above the 45th parallel our PBR systems will actually thrive because of the colder temperatures and the high amounts of solar radiation that is received for approximately 12 hours per day. This is comparable to the high production of algae growth in the Northwest Pacific during the summer months.' Currently, Mr. Sanchez is performing feasibility analyses on a multitude of climates and conditions for future deployment of BioCentric Energy's PBR systems worldwide.

2) During BioCentric Energy's daily staff meeting yesterday, Algae Specialist Domini Maddox announced to the group 'the testing of its proprietary algae strains for inoculation at various locations in the United States is going remarkably well. We have been emulating conditions inside our lab to mirror that of the environment and temperatures at our commercial sites. Now that the PBR has been inoculated, I will be testing the pH, nutrient levels, temperature and other vital functions daily to ensure optimum growth.'

3) The Company's Technical Supervisor, Pat Kuykendall has replaced the 'pig' (ball to clean the algae tubes and remove oxygen) with an improved version that is more durable and resistant to the nutrients and CO2 that are inside the PBR system. Furthermore, Mr. Kuykendall has developed and implemented a procedure to slow the initial flow of the CO2 and water into the PBR to improve mixing and lessen the stress on the bags.

4) Because of the growing interest and requests for additional updates, BioCentric Energy will add a new page to its website (www.biocentricenergy.com) that will display photos, information and a more personal view of the company."
