Peab sells apartments to rent for SEK 774 million to Sigtunahem

Peab sells 459 apartments for rent to Sigtunahem. The value of the deal
corresponds to an underlying property value of SEK 774 million.

Peab is a very active builder on the construction market in Sigtuna
municipality with property rights, tenant-owner apartments and
apartments for rent. Peab will sell some of its property rights in
ongoing projects to Sigtunahem.

“This shows how active Peab is in generating new apartments to rent in
close collaboration with the municipality. By using our industrial
construction system we have reduced production costs and shortened
construction time, which creates a good product at competitive prices,”
says Peab's Division Manager Tomas Anderson.

The apartments to rent are spread out in the following areas:

  · Södergatan Nord, 172 apartments, 1-4 bedrooms
  · Steningehöjden, 146 apartments, 1-4 bedrooms
  · Rådmansängen, 23 apartments, 1-4 bedrooms, senior living
  · Steningebacke, 54 apartments, 2-3 bedrooms
  · Märsta port, 64 apartments, 1-3 bedrooms

 

As the projects are finished, they will be turned over to Sigtunahem
under the period of October 2010 and the summer 2012.
