Heidrick & Struggles Names Jeff Markowitz as Managing Partner of Venture Capital Practice


CHICAGO, July 15, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. (Nasdaq:HSII), the leadership advisory firm providing executive search and leadership consulting services worldwide, today announced that Jeff Markowitz has joined the firm as Managing Partner of its Global Venture Capital Practice.

As head of the specialized Venture Capital Practice, Mr. Markowitz will be responsible for senior-level searches within all areas of venture capital with particular emphasis on the technology sector. He reports to Todd R. Monti, Managing Partner of the Global Private Equity and Venture Capital Practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Markowitz was a partner and member of the executive committee of a national executive recruiting firm. Among his many accomplishments during his twelve-year tenure with that firm, he helped to establish and build that firm's presence in Silicon Valley, managing a broad range of professional searches for private equity, venture capital clients, as well as public companies. Earlier, he was a manager with the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche.
